Honoraries now minting

Some NFT collections have honoraries.

I’ve seen a few nicely done ones and I see the value in having them.

Ultimately, there is a lot of cross-over with communities, so it only makes sense. In hindsight, I could have done this much sooner but there is also something beautiful about building friendships and establishing relationships before sending anything out.

My main goal is not to drive hype or get buy-in from influencers but to pay my dues and honour those I have interacted with, supported, or inspired me.

If it helps drive awareness for Mad Masks, that’s a welcome bonus. It’s one small thing I can do to help support the community.

I approached this in a way where I set a few parameters:

  • Pixel art related
  • On-chain associated
  • A leader I look up to or am inspired by

Not having to check all the boxes, of course!

I have a personal connection with some of these folks, others I made out of pure respect.

Ultimately, I felt I needed to make a small 1/1 collection highlighting and recording my journey, even if only for provenance.

At the end of the day, it’s all about relationships and this is my way of sharing anecdotes and context on my path so far.

Since the Mad Mask canvas is 32×32, I decided to focus on 32 people who would get an honorary pixel art creation that is generally front-facing and on a 32×32 canvas as the main criteria.

There are many others I would have loved to include, but I had to pick and choose to narrow in on a refined set that represents a snapshot in time based on my personal experience.

Currently minting one by one, there will be 32 of them, so be on the lookout on Twitter for the latest!

There are several formats, on-chain via Base and minted via Efficax:
PNG, SVG, HTML – look for the dynamic ones; a handful are animated and some fun easter eggs throughout (click around!)
